Dietlof Mare is a seasoned telecoms executive and the CEO of Vumatel - South Africa’s leading open-access fibre to the home operator. Mare previously held the position of executive head of direct expenditure at Vodacom, and also rose through the ranks to occupy several senior management positions. These include CEO of Vodacom Albania, managing director of Vodacom Congo, and managing director of Vodacom Tanzania. Throughout his career he has been a driving force behind the development of winning teams that provide impressive profitability to their businesses. In this discussion, Mare discusses the success behind Vumatel’s fibre rollout. He explains how Vumatel has consistently hit its fibre rollout targets to make sure more homes are covered.
