Danie Matthee is the Chief Executive Officer at OUTsurance, one of the largest short-term insurers in South Africa. Matthee joined OUTsurance in 2002 as a sales advisor and was appointed as the Head of Sales at OUTsurance in 2005. After gaining 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Matthee was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for OUTsurance and OUTsurance Life in 2017. Prior to this, Matthee was Chief Executive Officer at Youi Insurance in Australia. Matthee also serves as an executive director on the OUTsurance and OUTsurance Life boards. In this What’s Next in Finance interview, Matthee discusses the challenges and positives of running a company remotely. He speaks about how to keep company culture alive when staff are working from home.
